"Bridal Boot Camp"

Soooo, blood, sweat, and tears?  Is that what you think of when you see "Bridal Boot Camp"?  Well, this boot camp exercised the brain.  Brides were presented with sites and sounds that jump started their creative juices.

On Saturday, October 9th, the networking group www.eventspecialtygroup.com  hosted a Bridal Boot Camp in the empty storefront next door to Victoria Rose Bridal Parlor.

All members of the group contributed in their area of expertise to make the event spectacular.  The runway was lit like a Paris fashion show and the ambiance contributed by the decorating was a new experience for brides-to-be in Grand Junction.

The camp was designed to educate the brides-to-be.  Yours truly from Victoria Rose Bridal and Hope Carlton from Perfect Touch Make-up narrated an educational fashion show.  We explained and demonstrated the six silhouettes of gowns (sheath, empire, A-line, mermaid, trumpet and ballgown) and the four different styles of make-up available for your wedding.

This was our first event as a group and we were very pleased everyone was able to contribute so much to make it really special.  Look forward to next year.  We will put on an annual "camp" to showcase what can be done using local vendors.
