We've got good news for all you lovely brides-to-be! Some of our favorites from Maggie Sottero's latest collection, called "Divina" are now available at Victoria Rose. This collection's designs are some of the company's best yet!
Lace is HUGE this year - we're seeing it all over! Two Maggie gowns that we've recently received have re-defined the lace look and they are certainly beautiful and unique.
One such gown is the Myra, shown at the left. The lace is so delicate and soft! The scalloped edging on the slit gives the dress a mixed feeling of classic elegance and modern glamour. The belt adds just a little bit of bling, as well.
The gown on the right is called the Arabella and its lace is just as soft and inviting as the Myra! For a bride looking to show off her curves, but still feel the volume of a much fuller gown, this fit and flare style is perfect! The belt and the detailing at the gathering of the skirt add some sparkle. Both dresses have the signature Maggie corest back closure, ensuring a perfect, curve-hugging fit.
Another central design staple in the Maggie Sottero collection this season is tulle. But it's not the course, itchy tulle you may remember from the tu-tu you had to wear for ballet lessons. No, this tulle is just as soft and delicate as the lace gowns we've been seeing!
The gown on the right is called the Sharmee and it's so flattering! The drop waist fits tightly through the hips and then the skirt becomes full for a ball gown effect. The pleating in the bodice is asymmetrical to add some drama and the lace and crystal embellishments are scattered throughout the gown for subtle hints of a sparkle with every move.
This gown is called Elizabeth, and it is so wonderfully unique! The bodice has a scoop neckline and is covered in corded lace - the boning is supposed to be exposed which adds an extra element and lets you know for sure there's tons of structure in the top! In an extremely flattering design, the waist of this gown sits at your natural waist. The full satin skirt is draped and gathered for a look that is eye-catching!
The gown on the left is another marvel of unique designs! Another flattering and curve-hugging fit and flare style, the Camille has layers and layers of intrigue! The top of the bodice is an asymmetrically ruched tulle which thinly covers the lace and sparkle underneath. The tulle skirt flares out dramatically and softly. The three-dimensional flowers and lace at the neckline and skirt add yet another interesting element to this beautiful gown!
The above dress is called Selina, and it is perhaps the closest thing we've seen to a wonderfully dream-like, princess, Cinderalla-inspired gown! There's so much going on with this dress and it's fabulous! The ball gown skirt is full tulle with larger ruffles trimmed in horsehair which gives them structure and makes them float out, seemingly on their own. The skirt is scattered with lace and sparkle. The top has ruched tulle over lace and three-dimensional flowers at the waist add one more feminine touch.
We expect a few more dresses from this collection to be coming into the shop in the next few weeks. We'll be getting Adalee, Divina, Mayla, Renee, and Tiana. Check out Maggie Sottero's webiste http://www.maggiesottero.com/ to see these styles and all the rest of the collections!
